FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I inflate & fill water in the AQUACORE?
A
Inflation & set up instructions are provided within the packaging. In summary, the valve stays in when filling with water and the valve stays out when filling with air and using the Aquacore.
Can you leave the water in the AQUACORE indefinitely?
A
It’s not advisable to leave the Aquacore filled with water indefinitely. The bacterial or minerals in water might cause discolouration & odour, so changing water regularly is advised. We also recommend filling the Aquacore with ¼ cup of plain white vinegar per 1 litre of water to help water stay clear after prolonged storage periods. If it’s filled with water and left in a position for extended period of time, the PVC material may stretch and change shape slightly. We advise to rest your Aquacore parallel to the ground when storing.
How do I know what size AQUACORE is right for me?
A
This depends upon your height and fitness level as well as the exercises you wish to use the Aquacore for. As an example, we recommend anyone new to this form of training to start on the small or medium at a lighter weight. An experienced person could use the medium and large at a slightly heavier weight. It is recommended not to fill any size more than 30% of its capacity to obtain the best results from unstable loading training.
How do I know to what level I should fill the AQUACORE with water?
A
It is recommended not to fill any size more than 30% of its capacity to obtain the best results from unstable loading training.
How durable is the AQUACORE?
A
We have gone through extensive durability testing on the Aquacore and it is suitable for dynamic functional training and Olympic lifts. It is built to last but shouldn’t be used as a slam ball/medicine ball.
Do I fill the AQUACORE with a garden hose or an indoor tap?
A
You can fill the Aquacore with any tap, hose or water container where suited.
How is the AQUACORE different from a sandbag?
A
The AQUACORE is filled with water, not sand, which is vastly different. The water moves unpredictably but also responds to your movements. This is called perturbation and is one of the main benefits with this form of training.
What is the primary benefit of using the AQUACORE?
A
The PTP Aquacore will let you train your full body through the instability of water flow. As you perform the exercises, the continuous flux of water inside the aqua bag will challenge your balance, forcing you to engage your core muscles to maintain control over the bag. This form of training activates your smaller stabilising muscles whilst completing all Athletic movements. You will gain stability through instability.
What is Unstable Load Training and how is it beneficial?
A
Unstable Load Training [ULT] involves creating an unstable training environment with external resistance such as body weight, free weights or movement of water. ULT can assist in improving balance & stability, training co-contraction, and can also improve coordination through motor learning. As you perform the exercises, the continuous flux of water inside the Aquacore will challenge your balance, forcing you to engage your core muscles to maintain control over the bag. This form of training activates your smaller stabilising muscles whilst completing all Athletic movements.
What type of training can I use the AQUACORE for?
A
The AQUACORE can be used in all forms of training. Functional strength, balance & coordination, HIIT, mobility, rehabilitation and more. A movement guide is included in the package. Combine the AQUACORE with other PTP training products and design an all-inclusive training session.

A

What happens if I break the foot pump? Do I need to reorder a replacement with PTP?
